All about the Luxury Coorg and Ooty Tour (6D/5N).

Once a princely state, Mysore or Mysuru now sits in the shadows of Bangalore city. But the historic town has its own charm and attracts numerous visitors from all over the world. An important part of our Coorg and Ooty tour, Mysore introduces you to the rich history of Southern India and the influences of our British history.

The enchanting, laidback lifestyle the city provides has attracted pensioners and retired people from all over the country, making it their home. The glitzy city is famous for being the origin for the yummy Mysore Pak, the regal Mysore Palace, and its rich cuisine! As part of our Coorg and Ooty tour, we spend a day in Mysore, reveling in its culture and enjoying the experiences that come along.

Ooty or the Queen of the Hills is a popular hill station located in the eco-sensitive Nilgiri hills. Originally occupied by the Toda tribes, Ooty came under the rule of East India Company in the 18th century and developed as the hub of tourism and tea estates over the years. Ooty sits high at an elevation of 7,350 feet and it can get quite chilly during the winters. The all-year-round pleasant weather, an abundance of natural beauty, and proximity to major cities have propelled tourism in the town.

Ooty is now best known for its tea tourism, panoramic views of the Western Ghats, and its pleasant climate. Our Ooty tours will take you to the most scenic or culturally rich homestays where you can dwell in the historic past of the town. Our experienced guides have spent quite a lot of time in Ooty and know the best spots to visit and deliver the most memorable Ooty tours.

Coorg is the former name of Kodagu, a district in the state of Karnataka. Prior to 1956, it was an independent state but was merged into the state of Mysore soon after. The locals are known as Kodavas and are traditionally land-owning agriculturists with martial customs. It is interesting to note that the Kodavas are the only people in India permitted to carry firearms without a license!!

Coorg is now a popular tourist getaway destination that is dotted with massive coffee and spice plantations, the Western Ghats, and beautiful homestays in scenic settings. The most popular part of Coorg is the Madikeri town that sees the most amount of tourist footfalls owing to the numerous accommodation options available there. Our Coorg and Ooty tour takes you through the best places to see in Coorg, experiencing its culture and indulging in its colorful cuisine. The Coorg and Ooty tour is delivered by our experienced team brings to you the best stays and the most interesting sights to see.

Every tour is personally delivered by our trip leader who will be your tour guide as well. Think of them as your personal concierge. Our English/Hindi speaking team members are highly experienced travelers who know the lay of the land. Our tours are designed with the help of this experience that helps us pick the best stays, restaurants, and make the most engaging itineraries. Here is an intro to our team.

Our Coorg and Ooty tours are designed to be experiential so the majority of the stays will be in hand-picked luxury homestays in each destination you travel to. These homestays offer clean, comfortable, and safe environments for you to spend your vacation in. And if you want to experience the local culture, there is nothing better than homestays! However, we can also book hotels and resorts for you, if required. Costing might change based on the hotel you request.

We encourage our guests to experience the local cuisines of the destinations we travel to. In remote areas, we might not get options for eating different cuisines. We will ensure you get wholesome, tasty, and hygienic food wherever we go. If you are from outside India, here’s a guide to get you going.

During the Coory and Ooty tour, you will travel through highways, off-road stretches, village roads, broken asphalt – basically any kind of terrain might come our way. However, most of the roads will be in excellent condition.

We provide 1 liter of packaged water daily for each traveler but if you need more, you can let us know.

While traveling, we should have access to public toilets/hotel toilets. Most of the highways in South India have a wide network of eateries with toilets you can use.
