  1. Day 1 Arrive in Siliguri

Welcome to the Siliguri. We have got a fairly long ride ahead of us, so it’s best if we hit the ground running. We collect our chariots. Get it up and running. Head back to stay. Relax for the day touring around the city and retire for the day with a brief on the next day’s ride.

  2. Day 2 Siliguri to Darjeeling (70 kms, 3 hrs)

Darjeeling at an elevation of 2125 meters, the land of breath-taking beauty, amidst rolling tea gardens, crowned by the majestic Himalayas popularly known as the Queen of the hills. The jewel in the crown of the Eastern Himalayas with mesmerizing beauty offers spectacular views of Mount Everest, Mount Kanchendzonga, and the rest of the spectacular Himalayan range.

  3. Day 3 Stay in Darjeeling

Today we shall explore places in and around Darjeeling. Retire for the day with a brief on the next day’s ride.

  4. Day 4 Darjeeling to Gangtok (100 kms, 4 hrs)

Our journey today will take us along the Teesta River and offer us several opportunities to enjoy beautiful views of the mighty Himalayas. During our long journey, we will have enough time to get accustomed to our bikes and enjoy the fabulous scenery that lines our way. Once we get to Gangtok, the beautiful capital city of Sikkim, we can relax for a while. We know that the beautiful sights are simply begging to be explored, but you might want to take the rest of the day to relax and properly acclimatize your body to a higher altitude.

  5. Day 5 Stay in Gangtok

Today we need to spend some time to get permits. Once we are done with the formalities for PERMITS, we shall explore the city and retire for the day with the brief on the next day’s ride.

  6. Day 6 Gangtok to Lachung (120 kms, 5 hrs)

We start early in the morning to stop at Tashi Viewpoint just outside of Gangtok, to catch the majestic view of the Kanchenjunga range. As we start our sojourn to North Sikkim, the terrain becomes rough, but the views more rewarding. We refuel, at the last fuel station in Mangan and also pack spare fuel for all the bikes, and head towards a small town nestled in the mountains – Lachung which is the district headquarters of North Sikkim. The highlight of the day is the several waterfalls we would cross and the evening campfire, with a beautiful view of the Himalayas and the clear night sky. Retire for the day with the brief on the next day’s ride.

  7. Day 7 Lachung to Lachen (50 kms, 2 hrs)

We are about halfway through our tour now, and today, we will be riding to Zero Point (Yumesamdong) at an altitude of 15,300 feet is when we touch the high-altitude region of Sikkim.  Lachung is the gateway to Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers. The ride Zero point is where the road ends in India, before the Chinese border. The initial ride is through thick forests, but slowly the landscape becomes barren and with snow-clad peaks all around, you witness the diverse beauty and experience Sikkim has to offer.

  8. Day 8 Lachen - Gurudongmar - Lachen (130 kms, 6 hrs)

This is arguably the most mesmerizing and challenging day of the tour. Gurudongmar Lake, the source of the River Teesta, is one of the most pristine and sacred lakes in India and is located 5 km south of the Chinese border, at an altitude of 17,800 feet. Today is undoubtedly the best Sikkim having to offer in terms of landscape. No words can describe the pristine beauty you will witness this day. Retire for the day with the brief on the next day’s ride.

  9. Day 9 Lachen to Gangtok (120 kms, 5 hrs)

Today’s ride is a retrace to Gangtok. Before arrival in Gangtok, we halt at the famous Seven sister waterfall for some quick pictures. With this, we enter the hustle and bustle of colorful city life, as a contrast to the calm we experienced over the last few days. Retire for the day with the brief on the next day’s ride.

  10. Day 10 Gangtok-Phademchen-Nathula (110 kms, 8 hrs)

Today being a long ride, we leave early in the morning to ride towards East Sikkim on the Gangtok – Nathula highway, which is a part of the erstwhile ‘Old Silk Route’. En route, we halt for tea and snacks at Tsongmo (Changu) Lake. Nathu La would definitely be the highlight of the day and the tour. Just a common wall separates India and China here; you can see the road coming from China to India from where trading used to happen centuries ago. See the Chinese camp and even say Hi to them as they will be yards away from you!

  11. Day 11 Phademchen to Siliguri (140 kms, 7 hrs)

As the tour reaches its conclusion, we enter back into West Bengal to reach the bustling town of Siliguri. We will cruise past gorgeous sceneries and mesmerizing panoramic views of verdant greenery. It will take us 5 hours to complete the journey, and every second of it will be totally worth it.

  12. Day 12 Stay in Siliguri

Today we will be sending our bikes back home (if you shipped them here). Else we return the rental bikes. Once we are done, we shall have lunch on our way back to stay. Evening we will re-group for the ride success party.

  13. Day 13 Depart from Siliguri

We will bid our trusty fellow traveler’s adieu before heading to the airport to catch our flights back home.
